Newborn Baby Photographer Columbus Ohio|Baby Rebecca|Outdoor Newborn Session|

Baby Photographer Upper Arlington Ohio_0697

Baby Rebecca was born at the end of September.  We had her newborn session scheduled about a week after her birthday.  I remember dropping my kids off at the bus stop and the bus driver mentioning that there was a really bad car accident near our neighborhood and that she was going to take the kids a different route to avoid the traffic/accident.  When I walked back home I tried to turn the lights on and our power was out!  Rebecca’s session was scheduled for 10:15am so I called AEP to find out when the power would be restored and they told me sometime after Noon.  I panicked; I knew I was pretty booked with newborns the rest of the week and called Rebecca’s parents immediately to let them know that we would probably have to reschedule.  I guess I always take for granted electricity!  My studio is in the basement so it’s very dark and I need my lighting and the heat to keep baby warm!

Rebecca’s Dad is a Cardiologist at The Cleveland Clinic so this was the only day we could capture him in the photos as he is usually away for work. Family portraits were very important to them for this session so I had to make it work! We started the session with some outdoor newborn photos which ended up turning out great! Once we got the family and sibling shots out of the way I started to do some newborn shots of Rebecca outside and my neighbor told me the power was back on so thankfully we were able to finish the session indoors!  This was the first time that ever happened.  I was glad it all worked out and that we were lucky to have a gorgeous day outside in order to do the session and make it work!  Thank you Quarre Family for your patience and allowing me to capture you sweet bundle of joy!
