I wasn’t sure when I started this blog if I should put personal information and photos on here. At first, I thought it should be professional and I should only post my clients photos.  But then after thinking about it, I want my clients to know me and my family, too!  I think many of my clients can connect with me as I have an 8 year old son, Luca and a 7 year old daughter, Olivia.  I have definitely gone through the newborn stage, toddler stage, potty training stage, the terrible 2’s, tantrum stages, you name it! It’s not easy being a parent but the positives usually outweigh the negative and I usually like to focus on the positive, especially with my kids! 🙂

My passion for photography began when my children were born.  I loved capturing every single milestone.  When I grew up, my parents had cameras and video cameras but back then they just didn’t take as many pictures and videos.  I want my children to be able to show their children what they looked like, when they started crawling and walking, when they lost their first tooth, their Birthday parties , what they dressed up as for Halloween,  you get the idea! I have made sure to take pictures of them all the time and document all their milestones!  I make them a photobook every year as one of their Birthday presents that has pictures of them for every month of the year, I talk about their milestones, what they like, don’t like, their favorites foods,  what makes them happy, funny things they say and I even interview them every year and document it in their book.  They LOVE these books and they always love to read the letter that I write to them at the end of the book.

My daughter, Olivia, turned 7 in June!  I know it’s August, but I always put my clients first and since I am all caught up on my editing today was the day that I had time to edit Olivia’s 7 year session.  I think I may have edited one photo of her to display on FB on her actual Birthday, but I haven’t worked on the rest of her session.  I loved this session because we had beautiful light that night.  I wanted to take her to a park, but instead we just walked in our neighborhood, we live by the Scioto River and one of my neighbors has a beautiful little creek that leads to the river.  I love shooting at this spot as it’s so pretty!

I can’t say enough good things about Olivia. She really is a sweet little girl with a huge heart.  She is always thinking about other people and wants everyone to be happy.  I can’t believe she is going into 2nd grade this year, it’s amazing how fast it goes.  She’s super excited for her class and to make new friends.  She’s having a little anxiety as she will be riding a bus for the very first time and even though it’s only a 5 minute bus ride she asked me if I could go on the bus with her!  I’m sure she’ll be fine, but that’s all she has been thinking about all week. So enough of my rambling, here’s my sweet baby girl who I adore and love very much!
